Accessibility Statement
Comfort Pathways is committed to making our website accessible to everyone — including people with disability, participants, families, and professionals who rely on assistive technology. This statement explains our approach and our ongoing commitment to digital accessibility.
Last updated: January 2025
Our Commitment
Comfort Pathways Pty Ltd is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to all people, regardless of disability, assistive technology, or how they choose to access digital content.
As an NDIS provider, accessibility is not just a legal obligation — it is a reflection of our core values. The people we serve include individuals with physical, sensory, cognitive, and psychosocial disabilities. It would be contradictory to provide disability support services through a website that those same people cannot access.
We are committed to continually improving the accessibility of our website and welcome feedback from anyone who experiences a barrier.
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time task. We review and improve our website accessibility on a regular basis and take all feedback seriously.
Standards We Follow
Comfort Pathways aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and are the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA is organised around four principles. Content must be:
- Perceivable — information and interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive, including through assistive technologies such as screen readers
- Operable — user interface components and navigation must be operable using a keyboard and other input methods
- Understandable — information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable to a wide range of users
- Robust — content must be robust enough to be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents including assistive technologies
We also aim to comply with the Australian Government's Digital Service Standard and our obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth).
Features of This Website
We have implemented the following accessibility features across the Comfort Pathways website:
Visual design
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and background colours throughout the site — minimum 4.5:1 ratio for normal text
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- No content relies solely on colour to convey meaning
- No flashing or strobing content that could trigger photosensitive conditions
Navigation and structure
- All pages have a clear and consistent heading structure using H1, H2, and H3 tags to aid screen reader navigation
- All pages include descriptive page titles
- Navigation is consistent across all pages
- Skip to main content links are available on all pages
- All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard
Images and media
- All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text
- Decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them
- No content is conveyed through images of text alone
Forms
- All form fields have visible descriptive labels
- Error messages are clear and specific — they explain what went wrong and how to fix it
- Required fields are clearly identified
- Forms can be completed using a keyboard only
Plain language
- We write all content in plain English to ensure it is understandable to the widest possible audience
- We avoid unnecessary jargon and acronyms where possible
- Where NDIS-specific terms are used we explain their meaning
Known Limitations
While we strive to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across our entire website, we acknowledge that some limitations may exist. We are actively working to address these.
Third party content

These components may not fully meet our accessibility standards as they are outside our direct control. We are monitoring these areas and working with platform providers to improve accessibility where possible.

Any PDF documents linked from this website may not be fully accessible to all users. If you require a document in an alternative format please contact us and we will provide the information in a format that works for you.
Older content
Some older content on the website may not yet fully meet our accessibility standards. We are progressively reviewing and updating this content.
If you encounter any accessibility barrier on our website please tell us. We take all reports seriously and will work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Your feedback directly improves the experience for everyone.
